Courses

The standard Emergency Services courses are as follows

Civil Air Patrol Courses

*These two courses are required for all members, even those not involved with Emergency Services.

  • CAPT 116 General ES*
  • ICUT Introductory Communications User Training*
  • Basic Risk Management (ORM)
  • CAPT 117 ES Continuing Education (parts 1, 2, and 3)

In eServices, go to Online Learning and Tests. Locate the course via the Course Catalog or search. Enroll, and complete the course.

 

FEMA Courses - IS 100, 200, 700, and 800

IS 100 - Introduction to the Incident Command System

Once you complete the test, see Upload Instructions to upload the certificate into eServices.

IS 200 - Basic Incident Command System for Initial Response

Once you complete the test, see Upload Instructions to upload the certificate into eServices.

IS 700 - An Introduction to the National Incident Management System

Once you complete the test, see Upload Instructions to upload the certificate into eServices.

IS 800 - National Response Framework

Once you complete the test, see Upload Instructions to upload the certificate into eServices.

Upload Instructions

Upon completing the courses and passing the tests, you will get a PDF certificate. Download and save that as it needs to be uploaded into eServices. 

  1. On the eServices home page, go to ☰ Menu  >  Operations  >  Operations Qualifications.
  2. In the top left, click the drop down labeled Ops Quals. In the menu that pops up, under Emergency Services, click SQTR Entry/Worksheet. Enter your CAP ID and press enter or click the magnifying glass.
  3. Click the View/Upload Documents link.
  4. Under What would you like to upload?, choose the correct course (IS 100, 200, 700, or 800). Click the Choose File button and select your certificate of completion PDF. Click the blue Upload ES Files button. Click the x in the top right to close the page and go back.
  5. Back on the main SQTR Entry/Worksheet page, under the Achievement dropdown, under Tasks, choose the correct course.
  6. In the left box, enter the date you completes the course test. You can leave the other two boxes blank. Click the blue Submit button.

It may take a few days for the task entered to be processed and approved.
